Alaska Media Lab is the site for discussion, education, experimentation and commentary on media and technology in Alaska.

What is Alaska Media Lab?

The idea behind this site is to build a community for Alaska journalists to talk about how to incorporate the new tools and technology into reporting for Alaska. This site is about collaboration, education and innovation.

While things are still being added to the site regularly, some of the things you can expect to see soon include tutorials on free online tools to enhance storytelling or to just make reporting a little easier and a online forum where we can post discussion topics, ideas, and constructive debates on things such as paywalls and comment moderation.
